All the Lonely Bloggers

Ah look at all the lonely bloggers
Ah look at all the lonely bloggers

The traveling saleswoman, takes continual photos
Of the cities of where she has been
Lives in a dream
Looks out the airplane window, wearing her real face
That she keeps at home behind the door
Contemplating the kitchen floor

All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all belong?

Author in waiting, writing the words
Of a novel that no one will read
Plot going to seed
Look at him typing, spell checking his efforts
Attempting to capture ‘the voice with a stammer’
Overlooking grammar

All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all belong?

Ah look at all the lonely bloggers
Ah look at all the lonely bloggers

Travelling saleswoman, downsized from her job
No one any longer remembers her name
Forever taking the blame
Author in waiting, mailing synopsis with hope
Agents answering “No thank you” arriving each day
“Not interested” they say

All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely bloggers
Where do they all belong?

My apologies to John and Paul
